This is a fantastic projector that won't break the bank. I tested this out with my PS3 with HDMI connection. When watching live action movies, such as Marvel's The Avengers, the image was good but not super sharp. It was not a movie theater like experience, but you really shouldn't expect it to be at this price. It looked very good, and being able to watch it 80 inches big was a treat. When I watched some animated cartoons like Transformers, it looked fantastic. It looked very sharp and vivid. I definitely enjoyed myself more watching old school cartoons on it. The projector has a built in speaker so you can use it straight out of the box. Just connect your cables, and plug the thing in and off you go. It was a breeze to set up and use. The speaker does a good job, but was in mono, or at least sounded like it. You will definitely want an external sound system if you plan on using this as a home theater. But it does have built in speakers so if you want to take it around on trips, you can without having to pack too much. The thrill of owning this for me is when summer comes around. I can't wait to have friend's and family over for movie nights out back while BBQ'ing. Who doesn't enjoy a movie outdoors? The kids will definitely love it more than anything.
