I received the item within a larger box so that protected the original projector box. I've already used it several times and it is awesome. I was expecting the lowest "bulb use" to be a low light but it actually is very bright, to the point where I haven't had to have the windows covered to see the image. One thing that was not mentioned was that it does include a regular length SVGA cable, but that's not a bad thing.
