Very glad I went with a DLP & viewsonic again. My room is actually surrounded by large warehouse windows which makes it impossible to block all sunlight. At night, I'll run the bulb in economy mode even with a couple room lamps on etc. as it still looks very bright. My setup has the projector about 25-30ft from the wall about 6ft off the floor. I project on a white wall, so my display area is about 12ft wide x 8ft tall. The resolution is fantastic at that size, also I have no problem playing xbox one / watching movies etc. during daylight hours with this projector. The auto-detect is excellent and very fast to pickup signal from the xbox 360, xbox one, or PC. Also, FYI, the audio out (headphone jack) is pretty good - no extra buzz or noise passed through to my stereo speakers. Used to have two identical viewsonic DLP projectors (from 2007-2013) at my band's gigs. We would duct-tape them to light rigging, long very long VGA extensions, knocked one off it's 7ft stand once or twice. They'd never broken on us or let us down at a show though. So I decided to stick with the same brand - in my experience these are about as solid and bomb-proof as a projector can get. Recommended.
