BenQ W1070 1080P 3D Home Theater Projector (White)

I did a great deal of research prior to purchasing this projector. I wanted to spend under $1200, and wanted new. The primary uses for me are movie / television watching and gaming. The projector is in a room that does get some light during the day, and is projected into an Elite 110" projector screen. This projector has excellent color once calibrated, excellent brightness and shows no rainbow effect by my eyes. There are two problems with this projector, neither of which will affect my 5/5 rating on it. First, the whites are beautiful, and the contrast is wonderful. However, the blacks are not jet black. In this price range, I don't expect that. They do look great though, and the detail in the blacks is excellent in the price and brightness range. The second thing is that this is a compact projector, the physics of it, is that it will require more active cooling. This projector is not silent, but I have not found the light fan noise to be anything more than mild in even quiet scenes. So, two things.
